Mothers Day, 26th March.

Both sittings are Now Fully Booked.

That special day of the year to treat your Loved one and enjoy great company over a cosy Sunday lunch.

We offer 2 sittings on this day, 12~ 2.30  and  2.45 onwards .

If booking in the first sitting, please be mindful we will need to relay your table before 2.30 for our next sitting of lucky mothers to dine.

You may come at any time within the sitting but please allow yourself enough time to enjoy your meal before 2.30.

It is a very popular day and places are always full from an early date. Trust us, we have been here 15 years now ~

Its never too early to book for this particular day.

Booking is simple, just follow the very simple steps below & sit back & enjoy.

Payment can be made over the phone or in person. Bookings may not be made via the internet.

A  deposit of £10 per person is required( non refundable within 10 days of the 26th march 2017 )to secure your booking.

To begin

Smoked haddock & spring onion fish cakes with saffron mayonnaise.

A very traditional prawn cocktail with sherry laced Marie rose sauce.

Pressed game terrine, plum & apple chutney, toasted croutons.

Devon crab & smoked salmon salad with lime créme fraiché.

Pan fried wood pigeon wrapped in fumée bacon, sweet potato pureé, 

raspberry balsamic reduction.

V ~ Goats cheese fritters, apple & baby spinach dressed salad.

V ~ Todays choice of home made soups, fresh baked soda bread.



 Over night slow roasted sirloin of Scotch beef, Yorkshire pudding, 

goose fat roast potatoes, & all the trimmings.

Roast leg of local lamb, again with all the trimmings, even a yorkie pud…

Pigeon wellington. Pigeon breast, duck liver parfait and red onion jam, wrapped in fumée bacon and short crust pastry, goose fat roast potatoes and juniper berry gravy.

Pan fried chicken breast , herb & onion stuffing wrapped in bacon, chicken gravy.

Crisp fillet of sea bass on butter mashed potato, saffron mussel sauce.

V~ Roasted vegetable & brie filo basket with tomato & cardamon sauce. 

V, GF, C . Jerusalem artichoke, red onion & rosemary risotto.

All served with seasonal honey roasted vegetables 


Choux swans filled with raspberry cream on rich chocolate sauce.

Individual homemade Malteser cheesecake, tuille biscuit & cream.

Apple & blackberry crumble with warm custard sauce.

Trio of dessert. Vanilla créme bruleé, choux swan & malteser cheesecake.

Lemon & basil scented tart, vanilla pod ice cream.
